(St. John’s, NL) June 18, 2026 – The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has lifted the shelter-in-place that had been issued for Hatcher Street and a section of University Avenue.

Residents can resume normal activities.

Officers will be in the area throughout the afternoon executing a warrant as part of an investigation by the Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit.

The RNC thanks the public for their assistance with this matter.
