The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has officers who assist with organizing and co-ordinating ground search and rescues. Working closely with the Newfoundland and Labrador Search and Rescue Association, these officers are responsible for on-scene search operations. They are trained in GPS tracking, map reading, and drone operations.
